Order by Shopping List, Photo or Voice Note on WhatsApp

Browsing is for people with time. Most customers just want to send what they need and get it delivered. The best ordering experience on WhatsApp is the one that asks the customer for nothing more than the list they already have.
Can a customer order with a typed shopping list?
Yes. A message like "2 Blue Band 500g, 1 bread, 3 kilos sugar, Royco" is matched line by line to your catalog. Each product is priced, quantities are applied, and the customer receives a basket with a total. Your team can also paste a list into the order builder and send the basket on the customer's behalf.
What if the list is a photo of paper?
Customers often have a handwritten list or a list from a previous order. They take a photo and send it. The system reads the photo, matches the items to your catalog and returns the same priced basket. The customer does not retype anything.
Can customers just send a voice note?
Yes. Many people find it easier to say their list than to type it. A voice note is turned into text, matched to your catalog and answered with a basket. Your team can also record a customer's order by voice when they are on the phone with them.
What happens when an item does not match?
The basket is not final until the customer approves it. Items the system is unsure about are shown for the customer or your team to confirm or change, so a wrong brand or size does not go out. The customer can tap Change items, or Checkout when it looks right.
Does this work for large catalogs?
It does. WowCommerce searches the whole catalog, including shops with more than 30,000 products. We wrote about this in our guide to WhatsApp ordering for supermarkets in Kenya.
How do you try it?
The fastest way is to see it with your own products. Look at how Omni Commerce works, then book a demo. Bring a real customer list and we will build the basket in front of you.
